Amos Carvelli Funeral Home - Public Notice:

Amos Carvelli Funeral Home is prepared to safely care for families during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Whenever possible, we will continue to provide our families with the time-honored traditions and rituals that honor a passed loved one.  According to the CDC, at this time there is no known risk associated with being in the same room with the body of someone who dies of confirmed or suspected COVID-19.  However, federal and state guidelines may limit the size of a gathering for public safety reasons.  Therefore, we will continue to serve our families while adhering to federal and state guidelines.

We are also implementing new safety measures inside the funeral home:

-  No food or drinks will be permitted inside the funeral home at this time.  We are asking that food gifts be taken directly to the family’s home as our kitchen area will be closed.

-  In another effort, we ask that if you attend a visitation, please make your visit shorter than normal so we can move the crowd through faster.  We will be promoting social distancing efforts with regard to our families, visitors and staff.

-  As health experts all over the world have suggested, if you or someone near you has been experiencing symptoms of a sickness, it’s best to stay home and away from public places. Also, if you have self-identified as a person who would be more vulnerable to COVID-19, it’s also best that you stay away from crowds.

Our staff has always been committed to providing a clean and comfortable environment to the families we serve. We have raised our already high standards by disinfecting all chapels, visitation rooms and arrangement rooms after each use and have added additional hand sanitizing stations throughout our facility.  Additionally, we have a very dedicated team, but we have encouraged them to stay home if they begin running a fever or exhibiting flu like symptoms.

We will continue to provide you with a beautiful, comfortable, and – most importantly – SAFE environment to commemorate the lives of your loved ones, and will adjust our policies as needed in order to properly care for the families we serve.
