I am so sorry to read of Jim's passing [on Facebook]. While this is 'gain' for him, to his wife and at least three generations of family and friends in the church and community, many are grieving his loss. At a time when I was insecure and unsettled, while pastoring in Clarksburg, Jim's kindness and loving support were such a blessing and encouragement to me.

I grew up with Jim and Sharon at Emanuel Baptist Church. So sorry for your loss, and I know Jim is now with his Lord and Savior! I am sure my father, James Sr. would also offer his condolences.

McClain family- I am so very sorry for your loss. I have good memories of playing at the house in Dawmont with Susie and thinking how cool it was that your Dad had made a pool out of black plastic. Prayers that you will have many memories come to mind to cherish of him until you see him again in Heaven. God bless to all.

My deepest condolences to Sharon and family. They were our neighbors in Stonewood many years. Jim and his family were longtime neighbors of my father and family. The Joe Messe family. May he RIP and may perpetual light shine upon him.
