Interment will be held in the Shriver Cemetery in Wetzel County, WV at 12:30 p.m.

Kermit “Ray” Kirkpatrick, 62, of Reynoldsville, WV, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born in Clarksburg, WV on July 18, 1958, a son of the late Charles Leslie and Wanda Rose Merritt Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Jean Baker Kirkpatrick, who he married on December 22, 1997. Ray is also survived by his two children, Christina Rittenhouse of Weston and Joshua David McAtee of Poca, WV; two grandchildren, Brayden and Kenleigh Rittenhouse; three sisters, Patricia Todd and husband James of Salem, Melinda Kim Todd of Salem and Carla D. Syders of FL; two brothers, Timothy Eugene Kirkpatrick and wife Kathy of Harrisville, WV and Barry K. Kirkpatrick of OH; sister-in-law, Gloria Kirkpatrick of Philippi; two children special to their hearts, Carson Laco and Isabella Marie Gum; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles L. Kirkpatrick, Jr. Ray was a graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1976. He was a truck driver for the coal industry before becoming a supervisor for the West Virginia Department of Highways with 20 years of service. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and will be sadly missed.
