In lieu of flowers, Marty’s children and family ask friends to consider a donation to “Arch Recovery Center”, Attention: C.W. Dent, at 132 William Lane, Mt. Clare, WV 26408. Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Monday from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 6:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. with Father Casey Mahone as Celebrant. In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Queen will be cremated following the services.

Martin L. “Marty” Queen, age 62, passed away suddenly at his home in the East View community of Clarksburg, WV on Thursday, March 6, 2025.
Marty was born in Clarksburg on December 8, 1962, one of twin sons born to Rosalyn Burnett Queen and Fray Queen, Jr. both of the East View who were living with Marty at the time of his death.
He was a successful business owner and entrepreneur. Over the last forty years, Marty owned and operated a number of businesses in Harrison County including Queen’s Used Cars in East View and the Harrison Recycling Center in Clarksburg. Marty was also a commercial real estate owner and an avid coin collector. He was a car enthusiast with a love for Corvette’s, Mustang’s, Hummer’s, and Volkswagen Bugs.
Marty was so proud to be the fourth generation of the Queen family to own what local residents refer to as “Moonshine Mountain” – several acres of property covering the top of the hill located between the community of East View, the town of Nutter Fort, and the city of Stonewood.
Marty was a graduate of Roosevelt-Wilson High School class of 1981. He was a proud resident of the East View community and enjoyed family trips to Audra State Park and Rehoboth Beach, DE.
In addition to his parents, Marty is survived by three children that he loved and adored: Marty Queen, II and his wife Cathy of Bridgeport; and twins Holli Queen Jarvis and her husband Ryan of Parkersburg; and Hunter Queen and his companion Heather Gaston, of Anmoore.
Marty is survived by two granddaughters: Avery, daughter of Marty and Cathy Queen; and Payton, daughter of Holli and Ryan Jarvis.
He is survived by his twin brother, Michael Queen of Bridgeport, and Marty’s younger twin sisters and their husbands: Lisa Queen Lang and her husband Andy of Bridgeport, and Leslie Queen Pruitt and her husband Dixon of Quiet Dell.
Marty is also survived by several nephews and nieces: Ben Queen, his wife Meredith and their son Arthur of Bridgeport; Miranda Lang of Washington, DC; Chase and Maria Ammons and their son Xavier of Bridgeport, and Adison Ammons of Pittsburgh, PA.
Marty is also survived by his best friend, Daniel Grimes, who worked with Marty for more than 30 years and who is the caretaker of Moonshine Mountain. Marty was previously married to Linda Oliveto Queen who currently resides in Nutter Fort. Marty’s first wife and her husband, Melissa and Wade Evans of West Milford, remained good friends. Marty’s four-legged best friend was his dog, Max.
