Lelia Diane Sands Koepnick

On Thursday, July 15, 2021 Diane passed away after an extended illness.

Diane was born on August 7, 1963 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Edward McKee Sands II and Patricia Jo

Browning Sands.  She was a 1981 graduate of Faith Christian Academy.  On October 26, 1992 Diane

married Mark Koepnick.  Diane was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward and Elizabeth

Sands and Arden and Bessie Browning, and her parents Ed and Patty Sands. She is survived by

her  husband Mark Koepnick of Enon, OH, one son, Kenny Koepnick, of Miamisburg, OH and one

daughter, Deborah Koepnick, of Enon, OH.  She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Faeryn and

Oliver.  Diane is survived by her siblings, Dennette Davisson (John) of Weston, WV, Dr Douglas Sands

(Ettica) of Stonewood, WV and Derek Sands (Blythe) of Franklin, TN; several aunts, uncles, cousins,

nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Diane’s wishes to be cremated are being honored.

Family and friends will be welcomed to honor Diane at a memorial service at a later date.
