Linda Sue Dodd

Linda Sue Dodd, 66, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at her residence following an extended illness.

Linda was born in Wilsonburg, on December 4, 1958, a daughter of the late John and Margie Lamp Dodd.

She is survived by two sons, George Powers of Sardis and John Powers and wife Ashley of Sardis; one daughter, Jessica Powers of Davidson Run; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.  She also leaves behind two sisters, Rosalee Dodd of Reynoldsville, and Leona Stevens of Reynoldsville; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Powers; three brothers, John Dodd, Richard, Dodd and James Thomas Dodd, and one sister, Patricia Dodd.

Linda was retired from United Hospital Center, with 20 years of service in their Housekeeping Department.

She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nate Moore presiding.  Interment will follow in the Hardman Cemetery.
