Frances (Cavallo) Tiano, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on January 16, 2026. She shared 66 years of marriage with her late husband, Joseph “Babe” Tiano and is now joyfully reunited with him, as well as her parents, Caterina (Lucano) and Ilario Cavallo.

A devoted homemaker, Frances was a magician with a needle and thread, creating clothing and costumes for her children and grandchildren, and a fantastic cook who never let anyone leave her home hungry. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. James Catholic Church and proudly connected to the Catholic Daughters and Glen Elk Association, celebrating her roots and faith throughout her life.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Mary Kay Greer and husband Bob; her son, Vincent J. Tiano; her grandchildren: Kathryn Garrett (Zach), Joseph Greer (Kelsey), Robert Greer (Carter), Christopher Greer, and Nicklas Tiano (Chloe); her great-grandchildren: Sofia and Sullivan Garrett, Summit and Lucy Greer, and Vincent Tiano; her sister; and four sisters-in-laws and one brother in law. She was lucky to call Dr. Amante, Josie Lopez and Tim LeFevere her other adopted children.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to Maplewood Assisted Living, the nurse Danielle and all of the caregivers who lovingly supported Frances. Their kindness, compassion, and dedication went far beyond providing care. They gave comfort, dignity, and genuine love, for which the family will always be thankful.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donation be made to St. James Catholic Church.
