Marcilee Wynona Maxwell, 82, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 following an extended battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Weston, WV on April 23, 1938, a daughter of the late Willa Mae Dodd, and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Paul and Paula Dodd, who also preceded her in death. She was married to Henry Earl Maxwell on March 11, 1959, who preceded her in death in 2016. Surviving are five children; Greg Maxwell and his wife Jeanie of Morgantown, Henry E. Maxwell, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Smith River, CA, Melissa Wilfong of Bridgeport, Teresa Ball and her husband Larry Whitehair of Rosemont, and Edward Maxwell and his wife Lorri of Nutter Fort; several brothers and sisters; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and cousins. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tambra Ruth Flint. Mrs. Maxwell was a member of the Message of Freedom Church in Grafton where she served as Treasurer. She was very active in the church having been a Greeter and Sunday school teacher and enjoyed missionary work. She also previously worked at the Pruntytown Home for Youth and was a private home care aid for over 30 years.
