He was born in Morgantown, WV, on October 19, 1951, a son of Frances Walker Hoskins of Morgantown, and the late Ralph Sullivan Hoskins.
Chuck was married on January 29, 1977, to his loving wife of 41 years, Patty L. Exline Hoskins, whom he called “Miss America”.

Chuck helped to establish the Christian Apostolic Church in North View in 1975, and served as assistant pastor from its beginning and continued to serve until his passing. He was a loyal family man, called his mom every day, and loved to preach and reach lost souls. He loved rooting on the Mountaineers, and especially loved caring for his grandchildren who fondly referred to him as “poppie” or “poppers”. He will be sadly missed by his family and all of those who knew and loved him.
