Burial Date: May 4, 2018 Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11:00 am with Reverend Bryant Bailey officiating. Interment will be in the WV National Cemetery, where full military graveside rite will be accorded.

James Edward “Jim” Boggs, 76, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in the United Hospital Center.
He was born on March 23, 1942, a son of the late Guy Edward and Doris Ethel Murphy Boggs.
He was married to Charlotte June Barney Boggs on November 21, 1960, who preceded him in death on July 5, 2014.
Surviving are three children, Jayne Landacre of Bridgeport, Joann Cox of Bridgeport, and Jason Boggs and his wife RaeJean of Cincinnati; six grandchildren, Tyler Landacre, RJ Haught, Samuel Haught, Joli Boggs, Jace Boggs and Jeff Roach; two great grandchildren, Grace Haught and Areli Haught; one brother, Chauncey Boggs and his wife Edna of Clarksburg; and one sister, Rosemary Reed of Clarksburg.
Mr. Boggs was a 1960 graduate of Victory High School and was a United States Army Veteran having been stationed in Germany. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with Beckwith Machinery Company and retired with 30 years of service.
Mr. Boggs loved his grandchildren and his Yorkies, Becca and Nikki. He enjoyed hunting and sitting on the back deck watching the deer and “cantalope” play. His wife Charlotte was the love of his life, and he knew that the first time he saw her in Junior High School. Mr. Boggs was a member of the Glen Falls Baptist Church and Bridgeport American Legion.
