Ruth Ann Williams Blair, 63, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Charleston Area Medical Center. She was born in Clarksburg, WV, on January 27, 1955, a daughter of the late John Edward Williams and Edith Marguerite Carhuff Williams. Ruth was raised by a special uncle, Carl Williams, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Michael Blair in 2005; brother, Bobby Williams, and half-brother John David Williams and half-sister, Betty Jean Williams Teets. She was retired from United Hospital Center where she cleaned surgical tools. She was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. She was active in the Independent Order of Oddfellows and Rebekah’s of West Virginia. She joined Ivy #122, on May 20, 1987, became an associate of Shinnston #47 on September 6, 2013, transferring full membership to Shinnston #47 on April 7, 2017. Ruth Ann was Chief Matriarch of Star L.E.A. # 104 Clarksburg, Vice President, Clarksburg L.A.P.M. #9, Past Noble Grand, Ivy #112, Past District Deputy President District #9, Right Support to Vice-Grand of Shinnston Rebekah Lodge #47, serving as President of the Rebekah Assembly of WV, and was within hours of completing her term as president of 2017-2018. She was given a Medallion Award from the Representative of the International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.
