Stephen Spencer Harlow, 75, of Salem, WV passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Gardiner, Maine, on June 1, 1943, a son of the late John and Marie Spencer Harlow.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Shaffer Harlow, whom he married on June 24, 1970; three children, Rose Clevenger and husband James of Salem, John Harlow of Salem, and Stephen Spencer Harlow II and wife Misty of Salem; 10 grandchildren; Aaron Clevenger, Bradley Clevenger, Kristen Clevenger, Stephen Spencer Harlow, III, Brock Harlow, Zane Harlow, Shannon Pumphrey, Joshua Harlow, Jonathan Harlow and Matthew Harlow; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Roche and husband John, Janice Carpenter and husband George of CA; and a nephew he raised as his own, Randall Siers who resides in Parkersburg with his partner, Adrena Byler and daughter Sloane Emry Siers.
Stephen was a United States Navy Veteran having served during the Vietnam War, and was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local #476 and a member of the WV Trappers Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved following his grandchildren’s athletic events.
