Ralph David Nixon, 93, of Mt. Clare, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at his residence. He was born in Buckhannon on July 11, 1925, a son of the late Charles and Charlotte Hunt Nixon.
He was married to Betty Rea Bush Nixon, who preceded him death.
Surviving are two sons, Tom Nixon of Stouts Run, and David Nixon and his wife Elizabeth of Columbus, OH; one daughter, Emily Mustachio of Wheeling; four grandchildren, Zach Nixon, Lorraine Jablon, Jacob Nixon and Natell Grant; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Nixon was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having also been preceded in death by nine brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Nixon was a United States Navy veteran having served during WWII. He previously worked as a shipping clerk for Palace Furniture Company and drove a cement truck for Central Supply Company until his retirement. Mr. Nixon was Methodist by faith.
