Family and friends may call on Tuesday, from 2 to 8 P.M. at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 10 A.M. with Reverend Father Casey Mahone as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery. A Christian Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday.

Anne A. Skasik, 84, of Clarksburg, WV, departed this life, at her son Mark’s residence, surrounded by her family, on November 28, 2009, following an extended illness.

She was born on February 1, 1925, in Pittsburgh, PA, the only child of the late George Tankelevich and Mary Gailis Tankelevich.

In January of 1975, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam A. Skasik, whom she married on October 19, 1942.

Surviving are two sons, Mark Adam and his wife Cabrini Oliverio Skasik of Nutter Fort and Kurt and his wife Patricia Bellotte Skasik of Clarksburg; three grandsons, Adam Joseph, Kurt Adam and Andrew Michael Skasik and one great- grandson, Julian Adam Skasik.

She was a lifelong Catholic and dedicated to her faith.  Mrs. Skasik was a resident of Clarksburg since 1952, when she and her husband started and operated One Hour Martinizing which later changed to Skasik’s Quality Dry Cleaning.  Mrs. Skasik was a very generous and giving person.  She was very devoted to her business, as well as being a loving mother and grandmother.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday, from 2 to 8 P.M. at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 10 A.M. with Reverend Father Casey Mahone as Celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.

A Christian Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested all contributions  be made in loving memory of Anne Skasik to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1299 Pineview Dr. Suite 3, Morgantown, WV   26505.
