Bernadine Sue Vest, 76, of Clarksburg passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at her residence.
She was born in Clarksburg on September 30, 1945, a daughter of the late James and Juanita Posey Vanscoy.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Kenneth Vest.
Surviving are three children, Kenneth Vest, Jr. of Buckhannon, Keith Vest and his wife Crystal of Clarksburg and Sandra Vanscoy of Mt. Clare; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Lee, Brian Jones, Angel Menendez, Carolyn Ullum, James Dyer, Rylie Vest, Colton Vest, Jason Vest and Aimee Johnson; 20 great grandchildren; five siblings, Mary Ketery of PA, Peggy Stutler of Mt. Clare, Donald Vanscoy of Mt. Clare, Frank Vanscoy of Michigan and David Vanscoy of Shinnston; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to the parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, James Vest; one daughter, Jacqueline Bell; one grandson, Keith Vest, Jr.; one great granddaughter, Serenity Jones; and four siblings, Eddie, Jaybo and William Vanscoy and Stella Broadstone.
Mrs. Vest enjoyed Bingo, playing with her grandchildren and taking long walks. Bernadine was the feisty matriarch of the family and will be dearly missed.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Vest will be cremated following the funeral service.
