Betty Jean Brown, 91, of Clarksburg passed away on Wednesday March 10, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in Clarksburg on July 5, 1929, a daughter of the late Ralph and Helena Moore Marshall.

She was married to Thomas “Brownie” Tommy Brown, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Twila Brown, Clarksburg; one grandson, Anthony Losh, Jr. and his wife Felicia of TN; two great grandchildren, Emily Losh and Laney Losh; one sister, Dorothy Bright of Clarksburg; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Helena Susie Losh; one grandson, Christopher Losh; one sister, Lily Booth; one brother, Ralph Marshall, Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Bus Bright.

Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Victory High School and a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Bridgeport. Betty was a devout Christian and the day she passed was a great day of reunion as she was greeted in Heaven by her family. She was very devoted to her family. She was caretaker to many children whom she treated as her own and who lovingly looked at her as their “Nanny”.

Funeral services will be private.
