Obituaries

Carla Lynn Ferrell, 65, of Clarksburg passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 in Monroeville, PA following an extended illness.

She was born in Clarksburg on June 18, 1957, a daughter of the late William Carl and Frances A. Richards Ferrell.

She is survived by one sister, Barbara Wilkinson and her husband Tinsley “TT” of Clarksburg;; one nephew, Tinsley “TJ” Wilkinson, Jr. of Clarksburg; and one great-niece and one great-nephew, Kylieana and Peyton Romeo.

She was also preceded in death by her niece, Chasity Wilkinson Romeo; and grandparents John & Ella Richards.

Carla was a 1975 graduate of Roosevelt Wilson High School and was the owner of All-Star Grocery for 40 years.

Carla loved to help people and would do anything she could for her family, friends or anyone in need.  She never met a stranger and knew someone everywhere she went and was very active in the community.  She loved to cook and feed people.  She also loved animals and was an avid animal rescuer.  Most of all, Carla loved her family, and her favorite pastime was spending time with her niece and nephews whom she loved more than anything, especially taking them fishing.  She also enjoyed spending time and traveling with her cousins.

In keeping with her wishes, Carla will be cremated.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:30 pm at Village Square Round Bar Room.
