A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Kumar Reddimasu as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Harrison County Humane Society, 2450 Saltwell Road, Shinnston WV 26431.

Catherine M. Beto Frederick, 101, of Clarksburg passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

She was born in Clarksburg on October 7, 1921, a daughter of the late Tony and Mary Aiello Beto.

She was married to Ernest Frederick, who preceded her in death in 2004.

Surviving are one son, Joseph A. Frederick and his wife Karen of Bridgeport; three grandchildren, Joella Kight and her husband Jason of Morgantown, Jelana Stoneking and her husband Chad of Greensburg, PA and Juliana Curry and her husband Brent of Morgantown; and three great grandchildren, Jenna Kight, Mia Stoneking and Keaton Curry.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having also been preceded in death by six brothers, Joseph, Franklin, Bernard, John, Michael and Robert Beto; and one sister, Jean Beto Smith.

Mrs. Frederick attended Washington Irving High School and was Co-Owner of Frederick’s Market in Anmoore for over 40 years. She was a devoted Catholic and was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters.

Catherine was an extremely hard working and generous woman who loved cooking. She loved her family, especially her only child, Joseph. She cherished her granddaughters and loved animals, especially her dog Buddy.

The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice. They would also like to thank Catherine’s special caregivers, Rose Gerrard and Joanna Streets for their excellent, loving care.
