Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm.   Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2015 at 11:00 am with Pastor Frenchie Swiger officiating.   Interment will be in the WV National Cemetery where full military rites will be accorded.

Charles Richard Hickman, 87, of Reynoldsville, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 in the Rosewood Center in Grafton.  He was born in Harrison County on April 24, 1929 a son of the late John Allen and Bina Florence Bennet Hickman.

 

He is survived by his wife, Anna Lee Swiger Hickman, whom he married on September 3, 1983.  Also surviving are six children, Charles R. Hickman Jr., Tracie Hickman, Terrie Hickman, Jill Hickman, Lea Ann Hickman Kay and her husband Leo, all of Charleston, and Dorothy Shelt and her husband Gary of Canton, OH; two brothers, Bill Hickman and his wife Cathy of Clarksburg, and Paul Hickman and his wife Patty of Harrison County; one sister, Shirley Messino of Clarksburg; and six grandchildren.  He was also preceded in death by one brother, John Hickman, Jr.; two sisters, Edna Carpenter and Betty Trader, and two brothers-in-law, Tony Messino and George Carpenter.

 

Mr. Hickman was a United States Army Veteran having served from 1951 to 1957, and was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church.
