Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Tuesday, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 1:00 pm with Reverend Brian Plum officiating. Interment will be in the Hardman Cemetery.

Diana Elaine Griffith, 71, of Bridgeport passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in the United Hospital Center following an extended illness.

She was born in Wilsonburg on February 15, 1954, a daughter of the late Alfred and Betty Watson Dodd.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Griffith, whom she married on April 22, 1988. Also surviving are one daughter, Betty “Betsy” Patterson of Bridgeport; one grandson, Brandon Leeson and his wife Amanda; one great granddaughter, Letti Leeson; one great grandson, Aiden Leeson; one brother, Roger Dodd of Bristol; one sister, Freda Casto and her husband George of Wilsonburg; several nieces and nephews; and her faithful companion, “Rebel” her dog.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Griffith; two grandsons, Zack Griffith Leeson and Dusty Griffith Leeson; one great granddaughter, Aurora Leeson; four brothers, Alfred, Robert, Leon and Larry Dodd; and one sister, Shirley Crock.

Mrs. Dodd was formerly employed at Food Lion and attended Enterprise United Methodist Church.
