She was an artist. For a few years, she was a member of the West Virginia Heritage Crafts guild where she displayed and sold her crafts. Her first love in crafts were her crocheted afghan blankets. Over the years, many of her friends and her children’s friends were gifted her blankets. She made beautiful wicker baskets. She loved to make small, quilted items: wall hangings, table-runners and pillowcases. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She loved to decorate and make old-fashioned decorations. It was common for her to decorate her home with a dozen or more various sized Christmas trees. But the most important things to her were her faith in God, her children and her grandchildren.
