Obituaries

Doris Lee Ancel Mayle, 85, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.

She was born in Doddridge County, WV, on March 25, 1936, a daughter of the late Edward Glenn and Iva Jane Swiger Ancel.

Mrs. Mayle was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jacob Charles Mayle, on July 15, 2001.

She is survived by her son, Steven Mayle of Mt. Clare, and daughters, Susan Shiflet and husband Tim of Diana, TX, Emma Digman and husband Jim of Clarksburg, Sherry Echols and husband Steve of Diana, TX, and Heather Osborn and husband Tim of Grafton.  She is also survived 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews, and a special caregiver, Connie Bacco

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Mayle was preceded in death by her son, Charles Mayle, and grandson, Brandon Digman. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Mayle was a homemaker, who was a great mom and a good cook. She loved her family and enjoyed dancing, but above all she loved the Lord.

There will be a graveside service at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 457 Zachs Run Road, Mt Clare, WV, on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Adams presiding.
