Dorothy Louise Police, 73, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020, at the United Hospital Center.

 

 

Dorothy was born on February 28, 1947, in Brown, WV, a daughter of the late Creed and Bernice Shaffer Miller.

 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Police.

 

 

Mrs. Police is survived by one daughter, Tammy Ashby and fiancé James Sines of Maryland; three grandchildren, Lora Shay Ashby and fiancé Jeffrey Gregory, Sara Louise Gibbons and husband Mike, and Thomas Argel Ashby; great- grandson, Orion Turner Gibbons.  She is also survived by her siblings, Janet Starkey, Edward Harbert and Sears Miller; and special nephew, Mark Davis as well as several nieces and nephews; and close friend, James Barry.

 

 

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Turner William Ashby, former spouse, Argel Ray Ash, and several brothers and sisters.

 

 

Dorothy was a graduate of Bristol High School and a homemaker.  She was a devout Christian and very social. She enjoyed activities at the Senior Center in Clarksburg, and Bingo night.  Above all she was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
