Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm with Reverend Larry Douglas officiating. In keeping with her wishes, Erica will be cremated following the funeral service.

Erica Beth Wilkes, 40, of Nutter Fort passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021, at the Allegheny General Hospital from complications of a recent organ transplant.

She was born in Fort Bragg, NC on June 13, 1981, a daughter of Paulette D. Kelley Lucyk, along with her stepfather, Michael who survive in Nineveh, PA.

Also surviving are her fiancé, Christopher G. Strogen of Nutter Fort; one sister, Kelly Gaskins and her husband Ronnie of Bridgeport; one niece, Kyndra Gaskins of Bridgeport; her grandmother, Arlene Kelley of Nineveh, PA; her uncle, Patrick Kelley, Jr. of St. Clairsville, OH; and her aunt and uncle Kathy and Brian Kittel of Jacksonville, FL.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Patrick F. Kelley, Sr. and uncle Mark Kelley.

Erica was a 1999 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School. She obtained her Associates degree in nursing from CCAC and her Bachelor’s degree in biology from California University. She was a dedicated nurse who previously worked at United Hospital Center and currently worked at the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center. Erica had a great, dry, sarcastic sense of humor. She loved to travel, and was an avid reader and movie buff. She also enjoyed trivia, history and attending concerts.

In keeping with her wishes, Erica will be cremated following the funeral service.
