Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Monday, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Larry Green and Pastor Frenchie Swiger presiding.   Interment will follow in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Faye Cole, 81, of Clarksburg, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 18, 2017.

 

She was born in Boone County, WV, on February 7, 1936, to the late Ray and Ruby Woodrum Hayner.

 

She was married for 25 years to the love of her life, Ed Cole, until his passing in August 1984.

 

Faye is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Elena and Charlie Sandy, Paula and Bill McCormick, Jean Cole, Debbie Edwards, Baca Burdette and Steve Waits; two stepdaughters, Annie Belosic and Sharon Simmons of Indiana; and ones loved by Faye and Ed as their own children, Kim Farnsworth, Donald “Skeeter” Hill, Wade Holyfield and Rick and Alfred Kooken; two brothers, Buster and Loa Hayner and Sam Hayner of FL; three sisters, Connie Miller of SC, Lynn and “Bill” Franklin of TN, and Kay “Charlie” Hayden of KY; and  sister-in-law, Mary Cole.  She was grandmother to 17 grandkids, Chuck Sandy of Grafton, Neal “Kristy” Sandy of NY, Norman Sandy and companion Suzanne, Michael Sandy, Ryan “Brittany” Sandy, Justin Cole and companion Rosemary, John Cole and companion Amy, Amber McCormick and companion Mark, Mark Cole, Jackie Cole, Kevin Waits, Travis Barker, Brandie “Dan” Bowman, Zane “Sydnie” Barker, Zack Barker, Billie “Jody” Hannigan, and Sarah Adams; 34 great grandkids, and 6 great great grandkids; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Faye’s heart and home were always open to everyone and she was blessed to have so many loved ones in her life.

 

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Marie “Snook” Cole and Terry Waits, great granddaughter, Olivia Shay Cole; sister-in-law, Juanita Cole and brothers-in-law, Denver and Dorsey Cole.

 

She enjoyed playing cards and poker machines, but most of all Faye dearly loved her family and spending time with them.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and friend and she will be forever loved and cherished, and greatly missed by everyone.
