Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will conclude visitation a 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Elder David Burris presiding. Per his request, he will be cremated.

Harry Paul Ferrell, Jr., 68, of Clarksburg, WV, Laurel Valley Community, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his residence following an extended illness.

 

He was born in Reynoldsville, WV on January 14, 1948 a son of the late Harry Paul Ferrell, Sr. and Betty Margaret Trader Ferrell.

 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Terry Jo McAtee Ferrell, whom he married on August 16, 1966 and resides at their home in Laurel Valley.

 

Also surviving are three sons, Adam Ferrell and wife Mistie of Jane Lew, WV, Matthew Ferrell and wife Melinda of Laurel Valley, WV and Travis Ferrell and wife Jacklyn of Laurel Valley, WV; one daughter, Kristy Ferrell of Lost Creek, WV; seven grandchildren, Mariah Smith, Corey, Chad, Kerra, Jonna and Kevin Ferrell and Dwayne Stevens; four great grandchildren, Seth Garrett, and Savannah, Kathryn and Eli Smith; one brother, Danny Ferrell and wife Alice of Weston, WV; one aunt, Carol Burton and husband Harold of Wallace, WV and several nieces and nephews.

 

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.

 

He retired after 40 years as an employee with Union Carbide and was a member of the Ten Mile Primitive Baptist Church. He was a member of the Blue Country Band. He loved spending time with family, grandchildren and his many band member friends, especially Pete and Charlie.
