Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.  There will be a memorial service held at the conclusion of the visitation at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Cunningham presiding. Honoring Mrs. Hillebrandt wishes she will be cremated.

Jean Carol Meinhard Hillebrandt, 84, of Lost Creek, WV, previously of Florida, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the United Hospital Center, with her family by her side.

She was born in Highland Park, IL, on May 21, 1938, a daughter of the late Charles and Neva Long Meinhard.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, John Hillebrandt.

Mrs. Hillebrandt is survived by her son, John Fidler, Jr. and companion Tammae Lowther of Lost Creek; grandson, Joel Fidler and companion Sharon Robertson of Lost Creek; and great grandchildren, Ethan Fidler and Jaelyn Fidler. She is also survived by stepchildren, Georgianna Fidler Cupp, Jonienne Fidler Hazel, and Timothy Luke Fidler.

She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Laverne and Ed Meader; her niece, Cheryl Meader Brent; and step daughter, Marcie Lynn Fidler.

Jean retired after 33 years of service with Equitable Life Insurance Company as a secretary.  She was Catholic by faith.  She enjoyed playing and watching tennis matches.  Jean loved riding motorcycles but above all loved spending time with her family.

Honoring her wishes, cremation services were held for Mrs. Hillebrandt.
