Julie Ann Murphy 57, of Stonewood WV, went to be with the Angels today, Dec 3rd, 2020, at the Salem Center in Salem, WV, following an extended illness, and receive her victorious reward in Heaven, full of sunshine, laughter, and free of her earthly intellectual and physical disabilities.

Julie lived life loving the simplest of things; sitting in the sunshine, finding a rock to hold, anything chocolate, car rides, and she always carried a special little toy with her, and she loved to be on the move. Julie Ann was known for her beautiful curly red hair, her infectious smile, and her spunky attitude. One of Julie’s favorite things to say was “it will be all right”. Born with an intellectual disability, she had a childlike personality. She was an example to all that knew her, teaching us how to live life “Keep it simple, live for today, do not worry about tomorrow.”

“Sometimes Angels are disguised as kids with special needs to teach us how to be better human beings”

Julie Ann was born on June 5th, 1963, the daughter of the late Clarence Paul and Velvia Jeanette Rose (Ancell )Murphy.

She is survived by her twin sister Susie, and four brothers, Alan, Jeff, Billy and Junior, all of the Clarksburg area.

Julie is also survived by her special family who have been so very blessed to have Julie in their lives; special best friend, Ezekiel (Zeke) Hall, her special guardian mommy, Beth Ann Shank, of Moundsville WV, and special sister, Amanda Jo Hall of Wheeling, WV.

Julie will be sadly missed by her ARC Family of Harrison County, who provided loving care to her over the years.

Special thanks to all who helped her succeed in her life journey. There are too many to mention individually, from bringing her to the ARC years ago, caring for her, to advocating for her needs, “Julie’s Team”, you have always had her best interest first and foremost, God Bless you all.

Special thank you to the staff of Salem Center for the extra love and care they provided to Julie during her time there.

Due to the Covid Outbreak there will be no public visitation.
