I only met Kate a few times in Malawi in 2023, but I have the most fond memories. Kate was an absolute light - a purely radiant and caring individual who made others immediately feel valued and supported. She was compassionate and collaborative and uplifting, personally and professionally. She cared deeply for each of her communities. Her spirit was angelic. May we all seek to emulate it. I send my deepest sympathies to her family and loved ones, and prayers for peace and comfort.

Janet, I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your beautiful daughter. She was extremely accomplished and traveled extensively. I will pray for you and your family that God will give you strength to accept her death.

I knew Kate as a young nurse at Geotge Washington University Hospital .She worked with us in the ER. She was smart, kind, welcoming off her patients and friends, and , by the way, beautiful ! knew about her work in Haiti with Partners in Healifh and less about her work in Malawi, but I know it was amazing.. I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family for their incredible loss. I know that I will always be inspired by all that Kate was, and all that she accomplished. Her many friends from the GW ER will always remember the fun times we had with Kare at our gatherings. We pray that her family will be comforted!

We met in Malawi 🇲🇼 2010 Peace Corps…and the rest is history! Kate was one of the most beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We shared so many wonderful memories together and some more on the “adventurous” side as well. She was my inspiration, mentor, confidant, achemwa (sister), and rock when I needed someone strong to carry me along. She lives on through me and those you’ve touched along the way. I vow to appreciate life’s little blessings as she always did and honor her through service to others. May her soul rest in peace. Until we meet again achemwa

We first met Kate through our daughter Liz in their freshman year at Georgetown and immediately loved her. We are so devastated to learn of her passing, but can only marvel at the huge and widespread impact she has made on countless others through her generosity of spirit, passion and dedication. Please accept our deepest condolences and know that we will always remember and keep her in our prayers.

Kate was an absolute joy to work with and be around. She jumped in whenever you needed her and brought value to every discussion, document, and plan. She walked the talk on women centered care. And she was just cool. Her passing has been a huge shock to the RH community and has left a hole in my heart.
