Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Charles Madaus officiating. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in West Milford.

Leah Lenita “Peggy” Wilcox Seckman, 84, of Clarksburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 in the United Hospital Center.

 

She was born in Glenville on August 28, 1935 a daughter of the late George Martin “Buck” and Genevieve Grace Greenlief Wilcox.

 

She was married to Billy Clarence Seckman, who preceded her in death on March 19, 2004.

 

Surviving are three daughters, Debra S. Hawkinberry and her husband Michael of Bridgeport, Terri Donahue of Clarksburg, and Julie A. Wells and her husband Mark of Beverly; four grandchildren, Eric Bartlett and his wife Heather of Wilsonburg, Mackenzie Donahue of Clarksburg, Chad Powers of Clarksburg, and Courtney Powers of Elkins; six great grandchildren, Allyson Bartlett, Cody Bartlett, Leah Donahue, Airiella Oliverio, Calionna Oliverio and Charleigh Stout; five brothers, Grendal Wilcox of Bridgeport, Melvin Wilcox of Stonewood, Marvin Wilcox of Roanoke, Roy Wilcox of Lost Creek, George Wayne Wilcox of Laurel Park; and two sisters, Bonita Wilcox Hitt of Lost Creek and Shirley Wilcox of West Milford; and several nieces and nephews.

 

She was also preceded in death by 6 siblings, Gerald Wilcox, Roger Wilcox, Golden Wilcox, Georgia Wilcox Hitt, Mildred Wilcox Roberts and Gordon Wilcox.

 

Mrs. Seckman was a graduate of Unidis High School and was an insurance agent having worked for Nationwide Insurance with Jay Snider, Hood Insurance Agency, Wolfe Furner Insurance and Nationwide Insurance with Doug Gray. She was a member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church.
