Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm.   Mrs. Flowers will be taken to the Salvation Army Church, 1010 S. Chestnut Street, Clarksburg, on Saturday, April 9, 2016 to lie in state for one hour prior to the service, which will be held at 11:00 am with Majors Brooks and Lori Gilliam and Major Mary Kay Hearne presiding.   Interment will be in the Marshville Cemetery.

Lelia Isabell Flowers, 91, of Hepzibah, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at her residence.  She was born in Harrison County on September 2, 1924, a daughter of the late Ellis and Tillie Hurst Williams. She was married to Hayward Clark Flowers, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are one son, Larry Flowers and his wife Bonnie of New York; five daughters, Shirley Wallick of Ohio, Linda Ferrell of Hepzibah, Melba Shaw and her husband Larry of Hepzibah, Dory Cox of Clarksburg, and Teresa Glaspell and her husband Jimbo of Reynoldsville; one daughter-in-law Donna Flowers of Syracuse, New York; 25 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Hayward Blair Flowers; one grandson, Ricky Leon Ferrell; six sisters, Berylene Goodwin, Reni Musser, Velva Feathers, Ida Harding, Tressie Winemiller and Lucy Davis; and one brother, Harold Blair Williams.

Mrs. Flowers worked as a seamstress at Working Man’s Store and Mr. B’s Big & Tall, having retired with 34 years of service and continued to do alterations at home.   She was a member of the Salvation Army Church.
