There will be a gathering of family and friends at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of visitation with Pastor Rick Owens presiding.

Norma Jean Ashcraft Gallo, 72, of Good Hope Community passed away on February 3, 2017, surrounded by her family following a brief illness.

 

She was born in Summit Park, on February 6, 1944 a daughter of the late George T. and Dorothy Johnson Ashcraft.

 

Norma is survived by her companion of 45 years, Emil “Pete” Price, two sisters, Gloria Diane Wiseman of North View and Linda Elsbury of Madison, OH; two brothers, Maurice Ashcraft of West Milford and James Ashcraft of Tomball, TX; as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own and numerous friends whom she treasured. She is also survived by her faithful companion, her dog, Elly.

 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Stanley, Jesse, Michael, Nelson and Rodney Ashcraft; one sister, Barbara Persinger; one infant sister, Cathy Louise Ashcraft; and two brothers-in-law, John Wiseman and Charlie Persinger.

 

Norma attended Victory High School and was retired from Presley Ridge School.

 

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially trips to Bergoo, WV with Pete, and vacationing with family and friends in Eagle Rock, VA.

 

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the conclusion of visitation with Pastor Rick Owens presiding.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Summit Park Baptist Church, 154 Summit Park Avenue, Clarksburg, WV 26301.
