In keeping with his wishes, Ricky will be cremated There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church in North View, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Father Walt Jagela as Celebrant. Inurnment will be private in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Richard Allan “Ricky” Barberio of New Milton, WV passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024 in the United Hospital Center following an extended illness, with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Clarksburg on January 14, 1954, the son of the late Joseph A. and Betty J. Patterson Barberio.
Ricky was a 1972 graduate of Victory High School. He held various jobs during his life, including at the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram, Consolidated Gas, KFC and his most recent as an equipment operator for the city of Rochester, NH Water and Sewer Department.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several very close aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is survived by a brother, Joseph (Jodi) Barberio; a twin sister, Becky (Eddy) Hyde; nephew, Eddy Joe (Lori) Hyde; nieces, Kristin Barberio Smucker and Teanna Hyde; great nephews, Hunter, Hayden and Gunner Hyde and Ryder Merrit; great nieces, Fina Smucker and Tensley Hyde, and his beloved cat “Sammy Bee”.
Ricky had a passion for hunting and fishing and harvested many trophies. He also loved to hunt wild mushrooms and enjoyed being outdoors.
