Richard Fogle, Sr. 82, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the United Hospital Center.

Richard was born in Gastonia, NC on June 10, 1943, a son of the late Marion and Mary Smith Fogle.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Hildagarda Kroll Fogle, whom he married on December 23, 1967 and resides at their home in Clarksburg.

He is also survived by his son, Richard “Ricky” Fogle Jr. of Clarksburg; three grandchildren, Ariana, Isabella and Rylee Fogle; as well as his sister-in-law, Linda Fogle of NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mel Fogle.

Richard was a graduate of Lackey High School in Indian Head, Maryland. He worked as a milkman for Thompson’s Dairy in Washington, DC and worked briefly for C&P Telephone Company upon returning to Clarksburg. Afterward, he finished out his career as a successful, local car salesman, having worked for several dealerships such as Clarksburg County Club Chrysler, Bob Trickett’s and John Oliverio GMC – Buick.

He was an avid golfer and could be found on the golf course in his spare time. He was a former member of several local clubs including Bridgeport, Clarksburg and Sunny Croft Country Club.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Fogle will be cremated.
