Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Duff Street United Methodist Church, 400 Duff Avenue, Clarksburg WV 26301 at 11:00 am with Pastors James Malick and Brian Seders officiating. She will lie in state for one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Interment will be in the WV National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Duff Street United Methodist Church, 400 Duff Avenue, Clarksburg WV 26301.

Shirley Jean Devers Orr, 82, of Clarksburg went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday,
November 23, 2022, at United Hospital Center surrounded by her family following an extended illness.

She was born the youngest of seven in Morgantown, West Virginia, on March 21, 1940, a daughter of
the late William Devers and Emzie Ellen Isner Devers.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, John C. Orr, whom she married on July 31, 1960.

Also surviving are two daughters, Diana Crim and her husband Michael of Mt. Clare, West Virginia, and
Brenda Conklin and her husband Frederick of Smyrna, Georgia; five grandchildren, Heather Florence and
her husband Cory, Eric Hall, Sarah Crim, Jack Conklin, and Grayson Conklin, one great granddaughter,
Madelyn Florence, and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, William D. Devers; and five sisters, Rosemary Petrovich,
Betty Powell, Ruth Royce, Barbara McBee and Nancy Skaggs.

Shirley was a 1958 graduate of Grafton High School and was a retired school cook for the Harrison
County Board of Education. She was a member and faithful servant of Duff Street United Methodist
Church for 54 years.

Shirley was a devoted loving wife and mother and loved with her whole heart. Her love and devotion to
her family and friends were immeasurable. Her kindness was limitless and her faith devout.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Shirley’s memory to
the Duff Street United Methodist Church.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday
from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for visitation. Her funeral will be held on November 28, 2022, beginning at
11:00 a.m. at Duff Street United Methodist Church, 400 Duff Avenue, Clarksburg, with Pastors James
Malick and Brian Seders officiating. The funeral will be preceded by a short visitation beginning at 10:00
a.m. Interment will be at the WV National Cemetery, Grafton, WV.
