Obituaries

Steven Brent Mayle, 60, of Mount Clare, WV passed away and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Steve was born in Clarksburg on August 23, 1962, a son of the late Jacob and Doris Ancell Mayle.

Steve attended Roosevelt-Wilson High School and worked construction his entire life. In recent years he
loved taking care of his childhood farmland on Hastings Run Road with his soulmate and helper, Connie
Bocco. Steve was also an avid fan of football, especially the Washington Redskins. He loved the Lord and loved his momma!!!

Steve is survived by his daughter, Destiny Marie Lopez of Clarksburg, WV; sisters, Susan Shiflet of Diana, TX, Sherry Echols of Diana, TX, and Heather Oborne of Brownton, WV; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Mayle; sister, Emma Digman; nephew, Brandon Digman; great nephew, Brendan Echols; and niece, Cassy Wisdom.

Steve will be missed by many. He always had a smile on his face and a project going on. He was so proud of the work he put into our childhood farm. He now has an even bigger smile on his face because he is in the arms of Jesus with a new body and no worries or the cares of this earthly world. To all his family and friends that took care of him and checked on him, we thank you and appreciate your kindness. You know who you are and know that we will be forever grateful. Hastings Run Road will never be the same.

We love you Steve, see you soon.

In keeping with his wishes, Steve will be cremated.
