Words cannot express the impact my grandfather has had on my life. He treated me and my sister as his own daughters. He was there for every important moment in my life and gave me the best advice. I will miss his wisdom and sense of humor. I have wonderful memories of our family vacations with mam. My grandparents gave me the best childhood and for that I will forever be grateful. Always pappy\'s girl .

My dear Grandpa, so many memories of you and Grandma that I couldn\'t possibly write them all down. I will always remember your smile, your laugh, and how much fun it was to be around you. And the way you loved and worshiped Grandma, this was true love. On my wedding day, the two of you did the polka and the whole room stood and watched at how beautiful you danced. When we still lived in Summit Park you brought me and Pam a St. Bernard puppy named Sarge. I wonder if you named him that from your marine days. We sure loved that puppy. I also remember all of the visits you made to Ohio after we moved here, mostly to take Grandma to the race track! Yes, I learned at an early age how to place bets, even if we were only winning quarters from you. We also made many trips a year back to Summit Park for visits, and especially at Christmas for the most wonderful Christmas Eve party\'s at your house. We always got the best presents from you and Grandma! There was a even a year that we were visiting when I was a teenager and we helped ourselves to liquor from the bar. Paula got the hiccups and when you came home it was very obvious we had been drinking. You looked at Paula and said \"have you been nipping\"? We were busted, but you didn\'t even tell our parents. The last visit you made to Ohio after Grandma\'s passing was so special. Spending time with you again and exploring the sites that you had never seen on your previous trips. I\'m so sad that these memories were gone for you these past few years and hope and pray that this horrible disease has now freed you and unlocked them. Grandma was waiting for a long time for you and I\'m sure you are spoiling her once again. Love you Grandpa.

My childhood memories are filled with the times spent with Squirmy & JoAnn as Tommy and I tried to find our way through the adolescent years. Squirmy hauled us to Pittsburgh to see some of our our first Pirate and Steeler games. He took Tommy & I to our first Jerry West basketball camp at Salem College. I can remember him walking the sidelines yelling at the referees when Larry was playing for John Mazzei & the Victory Eagles. He and JoAnn were my first advisors when I started my political career and bought me my first box of matches to hand out to begin my first campaign for Democratic Committeeman in the Suburban District. It was a fun time to have been the scorekeeper when Squirmy & Bob Lough managed the Summit Park Minor League baseball team that won the County championship that included Tommy, Roger Lough, Bobby Kulick & other great Summit Park kids. Squirmy’s father & later Squirmy himself had much to do with the development of the Summit Park baseball fields. I can still remember him tying the drag to the back of his truck so we could have a smooth field to play on. He was a generous & patient father and someone as a young kid I loved to spend time with. My prayers are with Tommy, Jack, Mike, Larry & Rick as they struggle to get through the next few days. They can be proud of their father who was admired by many and gave us Summit Park kids his precious gift of time. Rest In Peace Squirm!
