Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Thursday, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, where funeral services will be held on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Larry Kyle and Pastor Larry Joe Kyle officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park.

William “Allen” Jones, 64, of Clarksburg passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family following an extended illness.

He was born in Clarksburg on May 9, 1957, a son of the late William L. and Ruby Bell Rush Jones.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Theresa Thomas Jones, whom he married on June 13, 1977.

Also surviving are four children, Shana Barnard and her fiancé Patrick Robinson of West Milford, Terri Bush and her husband Joseph of Pineville, LA, Bub Jones and his wife Chelsea of Clarksburg and Joshua Aguilar and his fiancé Erin of Mt. Clare; nine grandchildren, Jacob, Madison and Grant Barnard, Carina Robinson, Kiara and Gabriela Bush, Haden and Hunter Jones, and Trenton Aguilar; seven brothers and sisters, Arnold William “Bill” Berry and his wife Peggy, Elizabeth Lough and her husband John, James “Jimmy” Jones and his wife Danielle, Bobbi Liles, Brenda Lott, Aldie “Marie” Jones, and David Jones; and son-in-law, Jamie Barnard.

He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ricky, Richard and Jerry Jones.

Mr. Jones was a carpenter by trade. He was formerly employed by Harts Foundry Machine Fittings, 3-M Construction, and most recently was owner of Jones Remodeling. He loved working with his hands and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He had a talent for playing the harmonica, drums and spoons. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid WVU Mountaineer football fan.

Allen was a strong-willed, loyal and kind-hearted man, and the most important thing to him was family.
