Roger Darrell Arthur Blakesmith

Roger Darrell Allen Blakesmith, 76, of Clarksburg, passed away on June 21, 2020 at the Salem Genesis Center.

Mr. Blakesmith was born on July 28, 1943 in Wycombe, England, a son of the late Darrell and Vera Blakesmith. His father was a US Army soldier in England and returned with his family after WWII.

He is survived by one son, Roger E. Blakesmith of Darren, GA.

He was a longtime resident of Harrison County and worked various jobs during his thirty years in Clarksburg. He worked for the Exponent Telegram and was most recently known for being a dishwasher at the Clarksburg Mission.

Mr. Blakesmith will be interred in the Saltwell Road Church Cemetery, 1558 Saltwell Road, Bridgeport, WV, on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00.
