Burl Edward "Ed" Gibson

February 14, 1954 - August 24, 2024

Burl Edward “Ed” Gibson, 70, of Lost Creek passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 in the United Hospital Center.

He was born in Columbus, OH on February 14, 1954, a son of the late Willard Wilson and Ruth Virginia Bowman Gibson.

He is survived by two sons, Brian Robey of Lost Creek and Sean Robey also of Lost Creek; one daughter, Maryann Montgomery of Cambridge, OH; 10 grandchildren, Alicia Gibson, David Montgomery, Jr., Caleb Robey, Jaylyn May, Mya Robey, Caden Robey, Collin Robey, Brian Robey, Jr., Taner Robey, and Presten Robey; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Needles of Columbus, OH and Ruth Fleming of Pataskala, OH.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Eric Robey; and one brother, Bucky Gibson.

Mr. Gibson was a truck driver with ABCO Trucking. He loved golfing and sports of all kinds. He coached youth football and was a Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Ed had a great sense of humor and was a member of the Sunny Croft Golf Course.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Gibson will be cremated.
