Karen Paulette Kidd

Karen Paulette “Susie” Kidd, 82, of Nutter Fort, WV passed away on April 11, 2025, at the United Hospital Center.

She was born in Clarksburg, WV on May 1, 1942, a daughter of the late Bernard P. and Ruth Bennett Kidd.

Susie is survived by three sons, Michael D. Nelson and wife Deborah of Greencastle, PA, Steven F. Nelson and wife Sherrie of Greencastle, PA, and Paul G. Nelson and wife Angie of Chambersburg, PA; her companion, George “Tom” Ireland of Nutter Fort; two brothers, David Kidd and wife Doris of Clarksburg, and Jim Kidd of Jane Lew; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Susie is preceded in death by one brother, William “Bill” Kidd.

Susie was a graduate of St. Mary’s School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for many years and retired from Hartland Nursing Home in Clarksburg.

In keeping with her wishes, Ms. Kidd will be cremated.

A graveside service will be held by the family in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens on May 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
