Ruth Ellen Highland

Ruth Ellen Highland, 67, of Fairmont passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

She was born in Clarksburg on February 26, 1958, a daughter of the late Charles Ben and Deanna Hawkins Bush.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Highland, whom she married on October 6, 1979.

Also surviving are one son, Christopher Highland of Sparks Glencoe, MD; one daughter, Rebecca Campbell and her husband David of Fairmont; two grandchildren, Wade and Joey Campbell; and two brothers, Chuck Bush and his wife Donna of Lakeland, FL and Michael Bush of Quiet Dell.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Deanna Kay Houseman.

Ruth was a floral designer for several local florists. Her favorite past time was researching family history.

In keeping with her wishes, Ruth will be cremated.

There will be a gathering of family and friends at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort, WV, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
