Kris Ellen Schindler

Kris Schindler, 58, of Nutter Fort, WV passed away peacefully Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her home.

A daughter of the late William and Phyllis Schindler, she was born February 21, 1967 in Prince George’s County, MD.
Kris graduated from Thomas Stone High School in 1984 and moved on to have an extensive work history throughout her life. She dedicated many years to Peeble’s Department Store as a Design Specialist focusing specifically on Interior Design. After moving back to WV, she was a Referral Specialist at WVU Cancer Institute for the last several years and enjoyed her time and the connections she made there. She had a talent for interior design and loved to decorate and devote her time to making things look pristine. She was a lover of music and movies and had developed a great collection over the years. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was always making people laugh and had a playfulness about her that everyone around her appreciated. She was truly one of a kind.

She is survived by her stepmother, Janet Schindler; her brother, Eric Schindler; sisters, Dana Schindler and Arin Winfrey (Doug); step-brother, Scott Shreves (Kim); step-sister Kelly Rush (Pat). Her nieces Kim Schindler; Jennifer Davis (Kerry); Ashley Schindler (Tyler); step-nephews Kyle (Kate), Sam and Aiden Shreves; cousins Annette Webb and Jeanette Hartman and their families; as well as many other relatives and friends.

A private visitation for family was held Sunday, July 27, 2025 at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home in Nutter Fort, WV.
