Gene William "Billy" Bee

Gene William “Billy” Bee, 77, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the United Hospital Center.

He was born in Clarksburg, on February 12, 1948, to the late Guy W. and Elba K. Fletcher Bee.

He is survived by his wife, Linda D. Waters Bee who resides at their home in Clarksburg.

Also surviving are one son, Greg W. Bee of Clarksburg; his grandson Gerrod W. Bee and Ashton Cunningham who he called “Sweet Pea”; his sister, Sara riggs and husband Gary of Erie, PA; three nephews, Nile Bee, Phillip Riggs, and Justin Riggs; and four nieces, Cathy Salisbury, Kristen Thomas, Amy Hutchison, and Ronna Righter; several great nieces and great nephews; two sisters-in-law, Jessica Bee and Sharon Rogers; and numerous cousins.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Nile D. Bee.

Billy graduated from Victory High School in 1966, where he was a standout football player. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing and went on to United Hospital Center’s School of Anesthesia becoming a CRNA. He retired from Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center.

Billy was an avid wine maker, hot sauce influencer, and football enthusiast. Above all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a great friend.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Bee will be cremated.
