May 10, 1947 - October 6, 2025 Burial Date: October 13, 2025 Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 pm to conclude the visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8092 Third Street, Stonewood with Father Kumar Reddimasu as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. |
Brenda Joyce Butcher Conley, 78, of Mt. Clare passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in Clarksburg on May 10, 1947, a daughter of the late Ray “Doc” and Lucy Hazel McCormick Butcher. She was married to Michael Joseph Conley on November 25, 1967 who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Sean Michael Conley and Christopher Page (C.P) Conley and his wife Carri; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Conley, Zane Conley and Aiden Conley; four siblings, Jerry Butcher, Sharon Butcher, Terry Felts and her husband Butch and Linda Altovilla and her husband Pasco; one brother-in-law, Bill Tingler; and over 50 nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 9 siblings, Jimmy Butcher and his wife Shirley, Richard Butcher, Ray Butcher and his wife Glenna, Ronnie Butcher; Margaret “Peggy” Schweinebraten, Olive Pearl Boyce and her husband Frank, Barbara Johnson and her husband Robert, Rosemary Tingler, Sarah Spohn and her husband Jerry; one sister-in-law, Linda Butcher; and one daughter-in-law, Mary Alice Kacinec Conley. Brenda was a 1965 graduate of Washington Irving High School. Immediately following graduation, she went to work at the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram having held many positions including display and advertising manager. She retired in 1997 to help care for her husband. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church where she was in the Women’s Group. She loved her family, especially spending time with her brothers and sisters.
