Kenneth Ray Murphy

Kenneth Ray Murphy, 63, of Sardis, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Mt. Clare on September 11, 1953, a son of the late Daniel Murphy and Waneta Hayhurst Robinson.

He is survived by one brother, Russell Murphy, Sr. of Sardis; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Murphy.

Mr. Murphy was a United States Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam.  He was a self-employed carpenter and was Methodist by faith.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Murphy will be cremated. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm at the Sardis School Gymnasium.
