Carolyn "Sue" Beverly Barker

Carolyn “Sue” Beverly Barker, 77, of Salem, WV, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at her residence.

Carolyn was born on April 29, 1948, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Betty Marie Murphy Beverly.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen “Steve” Barker, whom she wed on September 27, 1969.

She is also survived by her son, Stephen “Steve” Barker II of Salem; daughter, Lori Ann Dambrose and her husband Robert of Naples, FL; brother, Charles Beverly and his wife Mary of Lumberport; and her best friend, Kay Swan and her husband Junior of Miletus; as well as many church family and friends.

Carolyn was a graduate of Victory High School. She was a retired retail worker and was lastly employed by Gabe’s. She was a member of Harrison County Senior’s Citizens and Enon Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting and loved to babysit children.

Family and friends may call at the Amos Carvelli Funeral Home, 201 Edison Street, Nutter Fort on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm with Pastor Larry McKim officiating. Interment will be in the Sardis Cemetery.
