Larry C. Yoders, Sr., 72, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at United Hospital Center, surrounded by the people he loved most.

Born in Clarksburg on December 10, 1953, Larry was the son of the late Clarence Yoders and Norma Lambert.

From the time he was sixteen, Larry worked hard—never afraid of a long day, never hesitant to lend a hand. His last job was as a driver for Dan Thompson’s Wrecker Service, a role he took pride in because helping others came naturally to him.

Larry is survived by his caring wife, Clara Yoders, and their children who were the center of his world:  Larry C. Yoders, Jr. and wife Christy of Clarksburg, Michael Andrew Yoders and his fiancée Brandon Pitrolo of Clarksburg, Mary Mayer and husband Bill of Clarksburg, Jennifer Yoders Greaver and husband T.J. of Clarksburg, and Connie Yoders of Clarksburg.

He was a proud grandfather to Billy Mayer, Matthew Mayer, Hunter Mayer, Terijen Greaver, Josh Yoders, and Emma Yoders, and a loving great-grandfather to Brayden, Branson, Magnolia, and Willow Mayer.

He is also survived by his brothers, Jimmy Yoders and companion Anna Mae Golden, Steve Yoders and wife Rita, and David Yoders and wife Edna; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Larry is preceded in death by his sister Nadine Yoders.

Larry lived a life built on simple joys and deep love. He was happiest when he was with his family—whether they were fishing, riding horses or 4-wheelers, taking weekend drives to Cool Springs, or just piling into the car to see where the road would lead. He didn’t need fancy plans; being together was enough. Larry had a gentle heart, a giving spirit, and a way of making everyone around him feel cared for. His family was his greatest treasure, and he loved them fiercely.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Larry C. Yoders, Sr. Memorial Fund at Amos Carvelli Funeral Home.
