Janet Louise Fox Butcher, 66, of Clarksburg passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026 in the United Hospital Center. She was born in Clarksburg on March 21, 1959, a daughter of the late Edward L. and Mildred P. Huffman Fox. Janet is survived by her husband, Ray Butcher; one daughter, Amy Butcher-Rush and her husband Charles of Shinnston; one grandson, Killian A. Rush; three brothers, Jim Fox (Diane) of Haywood, John Fox (Bernice) of Clarksburg and Joe Fox (Jennifer) of Ohio; one sister-in-law, Shawnee Fox of Grafton; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Fox. Janet was a 1978 graduate of Liberty High School and was a Cashier for Walmart, having retired from Kmart. She was a former member of the Bible Baptist Temple. Janet was a loving caretaker who helped care for family in need and took care of her mother and father. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and loved listening to music and singing aloud. Janet was a very strong woman. She never complained about her pain or discomfort and always had a smile on her face.
