William Lee "Billy" Wright

William Lee “Billy” Wright, 46, of Clarksburg, WV passed away on April 15, 2026.

He was born in Clarksburg on February 22, 1980, a son of the late Billy Lee Wright and Cheryl Bassel Wright and companion Michael Bosley of Clarksburg.

He is survived by his wife, Tanya Roachelle Messinger Wright of Spelter.

Also surviving are one sister, Dianna Wright and companion Terry Williams of Shinnston; maternal grandmother, Diana George of West Milford; two stepsons, DeAndre and Braydon Messinger; three nieces, Sunni, Sierra, and Lilly Moore; two nephews, Clayton and Lawson Moore; and several aunts and uncles.

In addition to his father, Billy is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Charles E. Bassel; paternal grandparents, William Lee and Dorris Wright; and great grandparents, George and Jean Morrison.

Billy was a graduate of Browns Burrow High School in Texas, class of 1999. He worked in the oil field with multiple companies for 20 years. He most recently worked as a packer and loader for the Kraft Cheese Company.

Billy loved to fish, watch and play football, cars, and most importantly, spending time with his family.

He was a people person with a big heart and would always help anyone in need.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation services will be held for Billy.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
